Chicago Bears linebacker Khalil Mack was in the giving mood picking up the holiday tab for over 300 Walmart shoppers in his hometown of Fort Pierce, Florida. Mack paid off all the active layaway accounts at the Walmart the store revealed on Facebook. The donation was made through the Khalil Mack Foundation.

“We here at Walmart would like to thank the Khalil Mack Foundation for your generosity, and for making so many families happy for the holidays,” the Fort Pierce store posted. “Everyone is truly grateful for everything you have done for them!”

According to a Walmart spokesman, the bill for Mack's foundation was right around $80,000.  Mathias Libardi, the store manager of the Walmart location said that Mack's representatives came to the store and said they wanted to be a secret Santa.

This isn't the first time that Mack has given back to his hometown. Back in June, he donated 100 pairs of cleats to the Fort Pierce Westwood football team. Based on a video posted on Twitter by Kamari Wilson, the kids were happy to get the surprise.

During Halloween, there was a story posted that a security guard was sitting outside of Mack's house refusing to give candy to kids. He got a lot of heat for that story but maybe Halloween just isn't the holiday that he enjoys celebrating.

It's clear from his latest generosity that he enjoys the Christmas holiday and enjoys giving back to people in need in his hometown. Sorry to people who don't like Mack, it turns out that he isn't Mr. Scrooge after all.
