The Chicago Bears ushered in a new era when they announced the hiring of new general manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus. However, some of the most pressing matters of the old Chicago era have carried into the daily tasks of the new regime. One of those such matters involves star wide receiver Allen Robinson, who isn't very pleased with the organization right now. Robinson became frustrated not only with the Bears' willingness to franchise tag him over a long-term deal, but also with the offense Chicago decided to utilize under former head coach Matt Nagy. Robinson, an unrestricted free agent, could technically still return to the Bears this offseason, though one has to think that other destinations would be far more appealing at the moment. Poles took the time to speak to the media about Robinson on Tuesday, as reported by ESPN's Courtney Cronin.

Poles was asked how he would go about attempting to repair the Bears' relationship with Robinson, to which he referenced communication. Not only that, but Poles interestingly said that emphasizing that “things are going to be different” is a key part of rebuilding the relationship.

The New Bears GM wasn't willing to answer whether or not Robinson would be on the roster next year, which is understandable. However, that is the big question right now. Chicago is committed to second-year pro Justin Fields at quarterback and will want as many weapons for the young signal-caller as possible.

Robinson could view the front office and head coaching changes made by the Bears as a fresh start of sorts. Or, if the relationship with the Bears is beyond repair, he'll be suiting up in a different uniform in 2022.

This will be Poles' first test as Chicago's GM.
