The Chicago Bears were in desperate need of a big play against the New Orleans Saints following a slow start to their Week 7 matchup. Fortunately, wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson was able to oblige just in time.

Patterson was able to get Chicago on the board with a 102-yard kick return for a touchdown in the first quarter:

Patterson's run is a reminder of why he is still considered one of the most versatile weapons in the league. Despite being listed as a wide receiver, his biggest impact comes as a return man on special teams and as an occasional change-of-pace option in the backfield.

The Bears knew full well they were going to have their hands full against a Saints team that is in the midst of a four-game winning streak. The touchdown strike from Patterson should provide the offense with some temporary relief to find their footing before halftime.
