We've all known about the existence of Bel'Veth for some time now. Bel'Veth, The Void Empress, is supposed to be the newest champion to be added to the League of Legends roster.  The Empress isn't on the public beta server yet, but her abilities and kit have already been leaked. It seems one of her core mechanics will be her mobility and the “swarm” that comes from her passive. Read on to see all of Bel'Veth's abilities.

Bel'Veth was initially intended to be a champion that has the option to build both AP and AD, while leaning more into magic damage.

Bel'Veth, The Void Empress, Leaked Abilities

Passive – Death In Lavender

  • Enemy champions, big monster camps, epic monsters, cannon and super minions, drop an object upon death. Bel'Veth can collect these objects to stack her passive.
  • Her passive forms a swarm based on the stacks and grants her lifesteal against neutral camps. If Bel'Veth attacks a turret or an epic monster, she sends the swarm towards it, healing Bel'Veth and dealing bonus damage. All stacks are consumed upon attack.

Q – Void Surge

  • Passive – Bel'Veth has an “arrow” in 4 diagonals.
  • Active: Bel'Veth dashes, dealing damages and slows. If she damages an enemy champion, a big monster camp, or an epic monster in the direction of the arrow with her dash, the cooldown of Q – Void Surge will be reset. If she damages small monsters or minions, only 40% of the cooldown is refunded.
  • If cast while R – Endless Banquet is active, Q – Void Surge will also activate P – Death In Lavender

W – Above and Below

  • Bel'Veth goes underground (effects suggest underwater) for a short time, gaining move speed and the ability to move through walls. At the end, she unburrows, dealing damage and knocking up all enemies in the area
  • If cast while R – Endless Banquet is active, Bel'Veth becomes untargetable and will short stun enemies after the knockup.

E – Royal Maelstrom

  • Bel'Veth channels a vortex. While channeling, she cannot move and will pull enemies towards her, dealing damage per second. She will also receive less damage. She deals a percent of all damage she received from the attackers.
  • If cast while R – Endless Banquet is active, E – Royal Maelstrom instead deals true damage per second, grants higher damage reduction, and the ability for Bel'Veth to deal bonus damage in the area.

R – Endless Banquet

  • Bel'Veth transforms into her true form for a few seconds and evolves all of her abilities. The duration of R – Endless Banquet can be extended during combat.
  • Bel'Veth gains HP, Magic Resist, Armor, and Damage stats while in her true form. Collecting stacks of P – Death in Lavender will heal her.
  • She uses all of her stacks to form a swarm, damaging enemy champions nearby. The swarm dies after some time, but can be renewed by killing enemy champions.

Note that this may not exactly represent the champion upon release. It is also lacking the “mind control” mechanic that was previously teased. Nonetheless, it's still nice to get an idea of what the champion does. It seems that the Void Empress will be team-fight focused, with multiple AoE abilities. Her E – Royal Maelstrom was also compared to Galio's ultimate pre-rework. Her W – Above and Below also sounds incredibly similar to Rek'Sai's burrow mechanic, up to the knockup.
