Despite being linked to a lot of trade rumors recently, Sacramento Kings guard Ben McLemore is handling the situation professionally and continues to do his best during the team's ongoing training camp.

The Kansas product's attitude and commitment to the game has not remained unnoticed as his head coach, Dave Joerger, gave high praises for the work he has put in, especially on defense. Per Blake Ellington of SacTown Royalty:

Last week, it was reported that the Kings turned down the offer of the Milwaukee Bucks to swap Michael Carter-Williams for their fourth-year shooting guard. With this development plus the admiration of their 43-year-old bench tactician on his defensive skills, all signs are pointing to the direction of McLemore staying with the Kings.

If the former 17th overall-pick of the 2013 draft can become a defensive specialist especially to the elite two-guards of the league, he can be an important asset to the team in need of a stopper after ranking 22nd last season in team defensive efficiency.

From what his coach is currently seeing from him and the amount of work he's been putting in practice, it won't be a surprise if the 23-year-old can transform his game from being a high-flying scorer to a defensive-minded player.
