Former Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Chad Johnson is doing his part to ramp up the Joe Burrow hype train as the Bengals are expected to take Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Johnson tweeted at Burrow on Wednesday, saying “see you in Cincinnati soon” and adding a “Who Dey” for good measure. Burrow also “liked” the tweet.

All signs point to the Bengals making Burrow the top selection next Thursday, with Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reporting all the work is essentially done.

The former LSU star had a prolific year for the Tigers in 2019, leading the nation in passing yards (5,761), completion percentage (76.3), adjusted yards per passing attempt (12.5) and touchdown passes (60) en route to winning the Heisman Trophy and the national championship.

Though he was not as efficient as usual in the national title game, Burrow still shredded an immensely talented Clemson defense for 463 passing yards and five touchdowns. he also rushed for 58 yards and another score.

The Bengals do not have a prime Johnson waiting as Burrow's No. 1 receiver–though that would make for an intriguing pairing–but they did bring back A.J. Green on the franchise tag.

Green missed the entirety of the 2019 season and played just nine games in 2018, but he was named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first seven seasons and is as talented as any other wideout in the NFL.

Burrow has given no indication he will pull an Eli Manning and hold out on going to Cincinnati, so Bengals fans can only wait until his name is called next Thursday.
