The Cincinnati Bengals have made some significant changes to their coaching staff this offseason. It appears they are also looking to shake things up under center with the addition of quarterback Brady Kaaya.

There has been plenty of speculation regarding the quarterback position for the Bengals. According to ESPN's Field Yates, they have added Kaaya to the mix after claiming him off waivers:

This is certainly not the most significant pickup that fans will see this offseason. Regardless, it is one that will be heavily involved with Cincinnati's quarterback situation moving forward.

Kaaya was selected by the Detroit Lions in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was soon signed off the practice squad by the Colts later that year. Unfortunately, the former Miami product missed the entire 2018 NFL season due to a back injury and spent all of his time on the injured reserve list. As a result, the 23-year-old still has yet to appear in a regular season game.

Despite his inexperience, it appears the Bengals' new coaching staff will be looking to potentially develop some talent under center. It is no secret that quarterback Andy Dalton has long been in the hot seat for his failure to prove himself as a playoff-caliber quarterback. If Cincinnati continues to fall short of expectations like they have over the past several years, new head coach Zac Taylor will have to look for other options to try out under center.
