Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson has risen to NFL stardom after his playoff heroics have helped secure the Bengals a spot in the Super Bowl. The rookie has made multiple crucial kicks during the Bengals playoff run and has developed a cult of diehard fans in the Cincy area. Well, adding to the incredible story surrounding the Bengals' fifth-round kicker, McPherson has gone and filed a trademark application for the phrase “Money Mac” according to Darren Rovell.

McPherson is filing the trademark application through his lawyer Darren Heitner, and indicated his plans to sell various apparel products including hats, pants, shirts, sweatshirts, and more, with the “Money Mac” phrase on them. Talk about a great way to capitalize on a sudden rise in popularity.

Entering the playoffs, McPherson was far from a household name. He had strung together a solid rookie season in Cincinnati, but not many fans bothered to discuss a rookie kicker on an underdog Bengals playoff team. Well, before long, McPherson became the talk of the town, alongside Joe Burrow, as his kicking exploits proved pivotal to the Bengals' success.

Burrow even revealed that McPherson, in an insanely confident move, told the team they were headed to the AFC Championship before taking the field to nail the game-winning kick against the Titans. It takes an absolute lunatic to walk around with that much confidence, but that's the exact level of faith McPherson has in his abilities as a clutch kicker. “Money Mac” is an extremely fitting nickname for the young kicker, who has been nothing but cash money throughout the playoff run.
