The Cincinnati Bengals were one of the most liked teams in the postseason, except for one player on the roster. Eli Apple, a former first-round pick, was the subject of ridicule during the playoffs after his comments about the New Orleans Saints, among other things. So when his team lost in Super Bowl to the Los Angeles Rams, players were quick to jump on Apple's grill.

Michael Thomas, the Saints' star receiver, tweeted out after the Bengals' Super Bowl Loss some shade toward Apple. The two were former teammates in New Orleans.

Thomas likely had a lot of experience being guarded by Apple during practice. He wasted no time ripping on his former teammate, and for good reason. Apple made a huge mistake for the Bengals during Los Angeles' final drive, committing a blatant pass interference on Cooper Kupp that led to the game-winning TD. Two clutch stops by the Rams defense held the lead and the win for the home team.

Apple made headlines earlier in the season for his comments. He was first called out by New Orleans media after his disparaging comments toward the city. After the Bengals' upset win over the Kansas City Chiefs, Apple publicly called out Hill and talked smack against him, earning some mixed reactions from fans.

Eli Apple's abrasive attitude over the past few games has not sat well with Cincinnati fans. Now, after a loss that can be traced back to his mistake, opposing fans are more than happy to roast the living hell out of the former first-round pick.
