The organization lost to the San Francisco 49ers twice in the 1980's and are yet to have won the sport's ultimate prize. Bengals defensive end Sam Hubbard revealed a major factor driving the team to accomplish that goal this year.

Hubbard joined “Pardon My Take” and talked about the team playing in honor of Harambe, the gorilla. He said “We're doing this for him.”

Harambe was killed in the Cincinnati Zoo back in 2016. It was a major story around the globe. On May 28, 2016, a three-year-old boy climbed and fell into the gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden. Harambe grabbed and dragged the child, but did not appear to want to harm him. Yet, a zoo worker shot and killed Harambe in fear for the young boy's life.

The entire incident was filmed and became an international news story. The conversation that ensues was divisive. Many people believe the zoo worker had no other choice but to shoot and kill Harambe. While others point to the calm nature of the gorilla and wonder why Harambe wasn't tranquilized.

Either way, Hubbard and the Bengals have thoughts of the 17-year-old gorilla in mind. But in order to pull off another upset in Super Bowl LVI, they are going to need to use gorilla warfare in the trenches against the Los Angeles Rams. It's likely this game is won or lost at the line of scrimmage next Sunday.
