The Cincinnati Bengals' offense sputtered once again during a loss to the Oakland Raiders in Week 11. The frustration for wide receiver Tyler Boyd has only continued to grow in a winless NFL season.

Despite the absence of wide receiver A.J. Green, Boyd has struggled to put up the kind of numbers expected from a No. 1 wideout due to his lack of involvement. He is admittedly upset with the decreased workload, via ESPN's Ben Baby:

“I feel like I'm the go-to guy with A.J. down,” Boyd said. “I felt like [my] targets were not where they should have been. I feel that I'm a game-changer and I could have utilized my talents in any way to move the chains, and nothing was coming my way.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Boyd's comments. He hauled in just one catch for zero yards in the 17-10 loss to Oakland. His numbers this year are a far cry from the 1,000-yard campaign he enjoyed in 2018.

It is no secret that the Bengals have struggled to find their footing on offense this year. As a result, they opted to make the switch to backup quarterback Ryan Finley heading into the second half of the season hoping it would provide some kind of spark, however, their struggles have continued.

The onus will ultimately fall on head coach Zac Taylor to put Finley in a position where he can rely on Boyd as a potential safety net in the passing game. Regardless, he may find it much more difficult to garner attention now that Green is nearing a return.
