The moment the NFL 100 All-Time Team was announced to the public, certain names are expected to make the list. One of those special players fans and analysts believe are instant locks include Buffalo Bills legend and all-time sack leader Bruce Smith.

The analysts who were discussing the additions to the All-Time Team were saying nothing but the best things about Smith upon the announcement of his inclusion to the team.

Bill Belichick had this to say about the legendary Bills defensive end who terrorized quarterbacks during the 80s and 90s during his 19 years in the NFL.

“Bruce Smith is a great end rusher,” Belichick began. “Tremendous quickness off the ball, won a lot with his first step. And then if the tackle is off-balance, he could power him or cut back underneath.”

Buffalo led Buffalo to four Super Bowl appearances during his fifteen-year stint with the team. During that span of time, he garnered an incredible 1054 tackles and 171 sacks.

After his stint with the Bills, he played the rest of his career in Washington. He ended up with the most number of sacks in his career with 200.0. His final tackle (1224) and forced fumble (43) numbers are also nothing to scoff at.

If there's anything to blame for his name being not as legendary as the others, it's the Bills' inability to surround him with the proper talent to help him with a Super Bowl ring. At least they can be comfortable with the fact that the best pass rusher in their franchise's history is also recognized as one of the best to ever play.
