The Buffalo Bills face their first real test of the 2019 NFL season with the New England Patriots coming to town in Week 4. Fortunately, it appears there could potentially be help on the way in the form of running back Devin Singletary.

Singletary has been nursing a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 2. According to Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic, he was able to make his return to practice.

Bills RB Devin Singletary is going through warmups at practice today. Progress.

This is certainly an encouraging sign for Buffalo. Singletary sat out of practice all of last week before being forced to miss the matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. His return could mean he is poised to get back out onto the field.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not he will be healthy enough to play against the Patriots. Although the Bills will certainly need all the help they can get, hamstring injuries have the potential to linger if they are further aggravated so it may be best for him not to rush his return. His participation in the new couple of days should give a much more clear indication of his status in Week 4.

If Singletary is forced to miss another game, Buffalo will once again rly on the 1-2 punch of Frank Gore and T.J. Yeldon in the backfield. Gore had himself a day against the Bengals as the ageless wonder rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Meanwhile, Yeldon largely served as a complementary option with eight carries for 30 yards.
