Carmelo Anthony had another great game for the Portland Trail Blazers as he finished with 19 points, four rebounds, and two assists to help the team win against the Oklahoma City Thunder 136-119 on Wednesday night.

Melo made 81.8 percent of his shots (9-11) against OKC, and believe it or not, that is the highest shooting percentage of his career.

Anthony also had a +/- rating of +27 against the Thunder, which could be an indication that he's starting to get his groove back after almost a year of not playing in the NBA. The 10-time All-Star also had a great outing in the Blazers' win against the Chicago Bulls a couple of days ago, finishing with 25 points, eight rebounds, and two assists.

Melo signed a non-guaranteed deal with the Trail Blazers, a team that has clamored to acquire him over the past two seasons. Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum have stated on multiple occasions that they tried everything they could to help bring Anthony to Portland, but nothing happened.

In fact, one could argue that if the Blazers haven't been riddled with injuries this season, they wouldn't have signed Melo, who has earned a reputation as a locker room distraction over the past couple of years.

But Anthony seems to understand his role with the Blazers. He knows that he's no longer the unstoppable offensive force that he once was, and at this point, he just wants to keep playing basketball, hoping that he could prolong his career, or at least, make sure that it will have a good ending.

If he becomes more consistent, he'll be able to do just that, and who knows? He might be able to keep playing in the NBA beyond this season.
