Bob Baffert is in hot water after his Kentucky Derby-winning horse, Medina Spirit, returned a positive drug test. Baffert — who's no stranger to controversy — has been suspended.

As many people tend to do these days when they face consequences for their actions, Baffert went on a media tour and complained that this is just the latest example of cancel culture run amok.

It certainly sounds ridiculous, but this is legitimately what he said … multiple times:

A truly baffling rant (rants) from a baffling Bob Baffert.

Again, Baffert's horses have a history of coming under scrutiny, with plenty of other positive tests already before this latest one. This isn't cancel culture or whatever these bozos want to call it, but simply facing consequences for breaking the rules that are in place.

Of course, Bob Baffert had an alternate explanation for why Medina Spirit tested positive. It has to do with piss.

Via Zach Braziller of the New York Post:

On “The Dan Patrick Show,” Baffert claimed that a groom urinated in the horse’s stall after he had been taking cough medicine and Medina Spirit ate some of the hay. It is currently on the way to Baltimore, although Baffert has yet to be told if Medina Spirit will be allowed to run in this Saturday’s Preakness Stakes. A second drug test usually takes up to three weeks, so a decision may not happen right away.

If the positive test is upheld, Medina Spirit will be stripped of the Kentucky Derby victory. It's clear Bob Baffert is going to fight this, silly arguments and all.
