Phoenix Suns guard Brandon Knight has suffered a torn left ACL and is in danger of missing the entire regular season, according to a report by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Knight was switched to a sixth man role last season after head coach Earl Watson appointed phenom Devin Booker as the starting shooting guard of the team.

The 6-foot-3 point guard struggled, lacking consistency and having by far the worst season of his career, averaging 11 points per game, shooting under 40 percent from the field and a disastrous 32.4 percent from beyond the arc.

If he is indeed sidelined for the entire season, the Suns could use rookie Josh Jackson as a backup shooting guard and Tyler Ullis as the direct backup for Eric Bledsoe at the point, thinning out the ranks until some groove has been found.

Knight has been hampered by injuries in the last two seasons — ironically going from the best of his young career in 2015-16 to the absolute worst only a year after.

This recent ACL injury only dips his trade value even more, adding a history of recent setbacks to go along with his shooting struggles.
