As they play their first game at home in the 2021 World Series, the Atlanta Braves made sure to pay tribute to one of the franchise's true legends in Hank Aaron.

Aaron, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 86, was one of the biggest figures in baseball and undoubtedly one of the best players to ever step foot on the MLB diamond. The Hall of Famer recorded 755 home runs throughout his career, the most memorable of which was his 715th dinger in 1974 that broke Babe Ruth's home run record at that time.

In honor of the so-called Hammerin' Hank, the Braves welcomed Aaron's wife, Billye Aaron, their son Hank Aaron Jr. along with other family members. Aaron Jr. threw the ceremonial first pitch, which would have certainly made his father proud.

There's certainly no better time for the Braves to honor Hank Aaron than the World Series, and it could just be the motivation they need to break their tie with the Houston Astros. A World Series winner himself, Aaron would have been cheering for Atlanta if he's still alive.

The Braves and Astros are on a deadlock after splitting the first two games in Houston. Atlanta won the opener 6-2, but the home team made sure to get one at home before traveling to SunTrust Park in Georgia.
