The Atlanta Braves heroically won a World Series title in 2021 and a big reason for their success was Eddie Rosario, who absolutely raked in the playoffs.

By no surprise, the Braves are bringing back their postseason hero on a two-year, $18 million deal:

Rosario hit .383 in 16 games in the heat of October, smacking three homers and driving in 11 runs. He did most of his damage in the NLCS against the Dodgers, slashing a ridiculous .560 in that series alone en route to being named MVP. The 30-year-old has been around the big leagues for a hot minute and the Braves faithful absolutely love him. It was a no-brainer to re-sign the Puerto Rico native.

Atlanta acquired Rosario at the July 30th trade deadline from the Cleveland Guardians and went on to hit .271 with seven bombs in 33 regular-season games with the Braves. The defending champs desperately needed another left-handed bat in the middle of their lineup and now, they have it.

The Braves also just made another serious splash by trading for Matt Olson, which essentially signaled the end of the Freddie Freeman era. The veteran slugger has yet to sign elsewhere, but the Dodgers, Rays, and Red Sox are very interested in signing him. Nevertheless, Atlanta is going to still be very strong in 2022.
