Way before the NBA 2K games were released, what video gamers used to play in the 1990s was NBA Jam. Seeing it now may bring a few laughs because of its graphics, but during its heyday, no one could argue how much happiness and entertainment it brought to fans.

Brian Scalabrine recently revealed who he thinks is the best duo from that game. He named the Chicago Bulls‘ number 99 player, who many believe is Scottie Pippen, and anyone playing alongside him as the best. He cited its all-around game and ability to shoot from almost anywhere on the court as the reasons why he thinks it's the greatest.

However, the 39-year-old Boston Celtics TV analyst also made an argument on who is better among two current duos in the league. He chose the Splash Brothers Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors over the Cleveland Cavaliers dynamic duo of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving as he thinks they have an advantage because of shooting threes versus two-pointers.

While many may not completely agree with his take on the current duos, his choice on the classic video game does make a lot of sense. Although the Bulls' player can even be called a glitch, because of the spot on the court where he never misses, it deserved its high rating because of how good the team was that time and not a lot of people knew about it.

In real life, the Windy City team dominated the 90s with Michael Jordan and Pippen leading the way. They won six championships during that decade with the lineup which many consider as the best ever, which also makes it very fitting that the greatest player from NBA Jam also comes from their team.
