Veteran quarterback Brock Osweiler's NFL career came full circle last Friday as he inked a one-year deal to return to the Denver Broncos.

In fact, Osweiler told Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post that it was one of the best days of his young life.

“It’s hard to really describe it in words, but being back here today, practicing as a Bronco and being here at Dove Valley,” Osweiler said, “it’s probably a top five, if not top three, day of my life. Today’s been incredible.”

The return back to Denver could provide Osweiler a chance to reset his career that has seen a whirlwind over the last 18 months. He went from potentially becoming the franchise quarterback of the Houston Texans after signing a four-year, $72 million to falling out of favor with the organization, which resulted in him being traded to the Cleveland Browns earlier this offseason.

All of this eventually led to him being let go by the Browns last week after the team decided to go with rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer as the starter for the season opener. As a result, Osweiler had the opportunity to return to the team that he was drafted by and spent the first four years of his career with.

Osweiler also delivered this weird analogy for his decision to sign with the Texans last offseason:

This could be the career restart that helps get the 26-year-old back on track. He could potentially vie for a starting job in the NFL with the Broncos this upcoming season, depending on how things unfold.
