Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio will reportedly return for his third campaign with the team next season, per ESPN‘s Adam Schefter. This came even after several speculations have emerged that the team will seek a head coaching change to arrest their fourth-straight losing season.

The Broncos organization continues to put their trust in Fangio after he led the team to a second-place finish in the AFC West in his first year at the helm last season. The team even garnered lofty expectations prior to the start of the 2020 NFL season after they were set to have quarterback Drew Lock finally healthy to start their campaign.

However, things immediately went south went Pro Bowl pass-rusher Von Miller and wide receiver Courtland Sutton both suffered season-ending injuries. Despite being fairly healthy this season, Drew Lock still failed to live up to the billing of a franchise quarterback.

The health of his weapons was also vital throughout their campaign as Lock was only left to maximize whoever was on the field for the Broncos. In Week 12 against the New Orleans Saints, the squad even played without a legitimate quarterback to slot in under center due to a previous COVID-19 outbreak that involved all four of the team's gunslingers.

Despite their struggles this season, the Broncos continue to believe that they can bank on continuity through the stability that Vic Fangio brings as a head coach to the team. Even with a 5-9 record, the Broncos remain confident that he will still be the man that will take them to the promised land in the years to come.
