Former Missouri Tigers standout and second-year NFL quarterback Drew Lock is the starter under center for the Denver Broncos heading into the upcoming 2020-21 campaign. Even with the team originally bringing in a veteran in former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco to lead the way last offseason, Lock quickly took over upon regaining his health en route to securing the starting spot well before the 2020-21 regular season this time around.

Not only that, but it appears as though Lock is already taking charge and becoming quite the leader in Denver while recently working out alongside some of his Broncos wide receivers — responsibly, of course.

The Broncos and lead front office executive John Elway are certainly doing everything in their power to surround the up-and-coming signal caller in Lock with a slew of talented weapons on offense. With running back Phillip Lindsay, tight end Noah Fant and wide receiver Courtland Sutton already in place, the Broncos then turned to the early portion of the 2020 NFL Draft en route to selecting former Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver Jerry Jeudy in the first round and former Penn State Nittany Lions wide out K.J. Hamler in the second round. It is also worth noting that the team signed another running back in former Los Angeles Chargers rusher Melvin Gordon this offseason, further bolstering the team's offense.

Unfortunately for Denver, though, the Broncos will still be forced to directly compete against the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs in the always dangerous AFC West division.
