Just a couple of hours ago, the Denver Broncos were likely upset to see Aaron Rodgers sign a new extension with the Green Bay Packers after there was speculation they could potentially lure the reigning MVP in. Even wideout Jerry Jeudy expressed his displeasure with the Broncos missing out on Rodgers. But now, the spirits have been lifted in the Mile High City after a massive blockbuster deal to acquire Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks.

Jeudy's reaction on Twitter says it all:

The Broncos finally get an established signal-caller to build around and who would be happier than Jeudy, who is going to heavily benefit from Wilson's arrival. The veteran has spent his entire career with the Seahawks and although he recently voiced how badly he wanted to stay in Seattle, the organization pulled the trigger and ultimately shipped him off to Denver.

This is massive for the Broncos. Even though Teddy Bridgewater did a respectable job in 2021 under center, they desperately needed a proven QB who can come in and run the offense. While Rodgers was their No. 1 target, Wilson is certainly not a bad fallback option. Drew Lock was also included in the trade and will probably get a shot at earning the starting job in Seattle.

Jeudy meanwhile played just 10 games in '21 but he'll be hoping to stay healthy in 2022 and form a dynamic partnership with Wilson.
