The Denver Broncos notably acquired former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco via trade this offseason. With Flacco now slated to serve as the team's starter under center in 2019, the Broncos wasted absolutely no time in giving the former Super Bowl-winning quarterback some help — namely rookie tight end Noah Fant.

The Broncos selected Fant in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Iowa, a move that has Flacco pretty excited.

“I’m excited about it,” Flacco recently told The Denver Post. “When you look at him, he’s a really athletic guy. I think he’s underrated at the line of scrimmage in terms of what he can do and getting his hands on people. He can obviously run.

“The tight end in this offense, I think can be a big-time player if he can run and get a feel for how we run a couple of routes we have in.”

The Broncos are looking to turn things around in a hurry after encountering yet another disappointing season in 2018-19. Ever since winning a Super Bowl with future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning leading the way, Denver has had trouble finding its next signal caller — one that will remain consistent, anyway. As a result, the Broncos were forced to look elsewhere for some help under center, which ultimately led to the acquisition of Flacco by way of the aforementioned Ravens.

Not only that, but Denver is now under the direction of first-year head coach Vic Fangio, who previously led the Chicago Bears defense.
