The 2017 NFL season for the Denver Broncos was plagued by their lackluster quarterback play. As a result, the Broncos have made it clear where their point of emphasis will be this offseason.

Denver already got a head start with a visit to Senior Bowl practice to take a look at two of the 2018 NFL Draft's most notable quarterbacks in Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield and Wyoming's Josh Allen. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Broncos general manager John Elway and head coach Vance Joseph were impressed with what they saw:

“They look good,” Elway told reporters regarding the two quarterbacks. “It’s always hard coming down and throwing to people you are not familiar with and new routes. I thought the first two days have been really good. Very strong arms, so it’s been fun to watch.”

Joseph echoed Elway's sentiment by offering high praise for this year's quarterback class.

“Josh Allen has a wonderful throwing arm,” Joseph told reporters. “He made some big-time throws today. He’s in command of the huddle. That was good to see. Mayfield also made some big-time throws. All four quarterbacks have played well and have made some nice throws.”

Denver will have the fifth overall pick in the upcoming draft which will put them in a solid position to acquire the quarterback they feel can lead them back to the promised land. However, with a bevy of other teams looking for their next signal-caller as well, the Broncos will need to be careful that their prospect does not get scooped up before them.

Denver still has plenty of time to decide how they want to approach the situation. At this time, it looks as though their next potential franchise quarterback may come out of the draft.
