Despite the anticipation about the Denver Broncos' Week 1 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks in the 2022 season, Russell Wilson is not making a big deal out of it.

Broncos and Seahawks fans probably have the opening game already circled on their calendars. After all, it is the first time Wilson will be facing off against the Seahawks following his 10-year stay with the franchise. The veteran QB was traded to Denver this offseason as Seattle decided to go another direction, with his former team getting a multitude of picks, Drew Lock and Shelby Harris in the process.

Of course playing your former team for the first time can be emotional for some. Nonetheless, Wilson isn't like anyone else as he played down the Week 1 meeting.

“It's non-emotional. It's just ball,” the Broncos star said of the game, per PFF.

It looks like Russell Wilson is quickly moving on from the Seahawks, and who can blame him? While Seattle seemed to indicate that the QB initiated the trade, Wilson highlighted that it was a mutual decision.

Sure enough, it doesn't look like Wilson has any ill feelings towards Seattle. He has always been a professional who clearly understands the business of the NFL anyway. With that said, it's not surprising why he simply wants to focus on his new team alone.

His Seahawks tenure is over. Now, he is set to write a new chapter, this time with the Broncos.
