There might be a ton of NFL legends Russell Wilson looks up to, but there's one that stands out the most: Denver Broncos legend Peyton Manning.

On Instagram, Wilson was asked who his favorite NFL player of all time is. In response, the former Seattle Seahawks QB posted a photo of him and Manning and mentioned that the legendary quarterback coached him at camp during high school.

Certainly, Russell Wilson didn't just choose Peyton Manning because he's now in the Broncos, right?

But hey, Denver fans will love that answer. After all, the Broncos last won the Super Bowl in 2015 when Manning was leading the way. With that said, having a star QB that wants to emulate him is definitely a great thing for the franchise.

Wilson was traded to the Broncos this offseason after 10 years in Seattle. The Seahawks sent him alongside a fourth round pick in exchange for three players and massive return of picks.

Among the players the Seahawks received include Drew Lock, while the picks they got were headlined by two first round and two second round picks.

It's a fresh start for Wilson after some unsuccessful years in Seattle. Sure enough, he's looking to follow the footsteps of Manning in bringing in a title to the franchise after the move.
