It looks like Russell Wilson couldn't be any more excited after seeing Condoleezza Rice join the ownership group purchasing the Denver Broncos.

On Monday, Rob Walton announced that the former Secretary of State is joining the Walton-Penner Family ownership group that is set to take over the Broncos from the Pat Bowlen Trust. After seeing the news, Wilson quickly took to Twitter to share how happy he is to Rice's addition and how ecstatic her sister would be about it.

Wilson's sister, Anna Wilson, played college basketball for Stanford. Meanwhile, Rice is currently serving as the director of university's Hoover Institute.

“Putting together a winning team & making history! Great to add a Stanford Cardinal to the squad – my sis would be proud! welcome to the family!” Wilson wrote.

Having such a powerful ownership group bodes well to the Broncos' aspirations to become title contenders. The addition of Condoleezza Rice, who comes from a football family with his dad being a football head coach, certainly adds another element that, as Russell Wilson said, creates a “winning team.”

The Walton-Penner Family group purchased the Broncos for a reported $4.65 billion. Of course the deal is still subject for approval from the from the NFL's finance committee and league ownerships.

With a new committed ownership and a hungry QB, though, the future is certainly looking brighter than ever for the Broncos. Hopefully, fans get to see some results soon, especially amid the high expectations that come with Wilson's arrival from the Seattle Seahawks to Denver.
