The Denver Broncos have finally made a decision on who will be their starting quarterback moving forward. Head coach Vance Joseph has chosen to start Trevor Siemian over Paxton Lynch, via ESPN's Jeff Legwold.

“We decided on making Trevor Siemian our quarterback,” Joseph said. “Both guys competed hard. Both guys wanted the job. We're pleased with both guys, but overall the operation of the entire offense, decision-making, ball placement, was more consistent with Trevor. That's why he won the job.”

The quarterback controversy in Denver has been a hot topic of discussion for quite some time. The team drafted Lynch in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft making most believe the team had lost faith in Siemian whom Denver selected in the sixth round of the previous draft.

Ever since the departure of Peyton Manning, the quarterback situation in Denver has been uncertain regarding which player the team was looking to build around for the long-term.

Apparently, Siemian has done enough with his experience starting last season and throughout training camp this year to win over the new coaching staff. Joseph will stick by the 25-year-old as the start of the 2017 NFL regular season approaching, but he could be on a short leash considering how close he came to potentially losing the starting gig to Lynch.

With the quarterback dilemma now over, the team will focus on the final two preseason games against the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals.
