The Baltimore Ravens beat the Denver Broncos rather handily on Sunday, 23-7. There wasn't all that much drama in the game, at least until the end. Instead of running the clock out by taking a knee, the Ravens decided to run one last play.

Why?

Baltimore needed three rushing yards to hit 100 yards rushing in 43 consecutive games and tie the all-time NFL record. Lamar Jackson rushed for five yards on the play, giving the Ravens 102 for the game and tying that record.

Needless to say, Broncos head coach Vic Fangio was real pissed off about it. Fangio could be seen in the moment getting mad about it, and he reiterated that on Monday. The Broncos coach called out John Harbaugh and the Ravens for their decision:

Fangio certainly didn't mince words here, and it's not a surprise that he complained about it. The Broncos coach is an old-school guy who clearly believes in the whole unwritten rules and sportsmanship thing. While it's understandable to a degree, it's also understandable why the Ravens went for that record. It's a really impressive record!

Putting Jackson in harm's way probably wasn't the best idea, even though it all worked out okay for Baltimore. It's also worth noting here that Fangio had just called three timeouts in the last 30 seconds of a game that was essentially out of reach. Of course, that's not really a huge deal either, so this is all just being blown out of proportion.

The Broncos and Ravens are now both 3-1 on the season.
