Some teams around the NFL are going to have fans present during the 2020 season while others have empty stadiums. Even though the discrepancy of fans at games has caused a stir among other coaches in the league, Denver Broncos' head coach, Vic Fangio, was straightforward on how he feels about the NFL's inconsistent attendance policies.

“I really don’t give a damn about that,” the Broncos coach told reporters on Monday. “If we can play in a stadium that’s full, half full, a third full, home or away, we’re happy. That shows progress with the COVID. Otherwise, I personally don’t care other than I would like to see fans.”

Due to the implications of COVID-19, sporting events are being conducted with zero or limited fans in attendance. For the NFL, they chose to allow teams to determine the number of fans that can be present. Each team will need to follow their state's guidelines before coming to a decision.

So instead of implementing a blanket attendance policy across the league, there will be differing attendance numbers in 2020. Of course, this was done by the NFL to help minimize the revenue loss in the upcoming season.

Not everyone is as indifferent as the Broncos' head coach With the league giving teams the leniency to choose their attendance, some coaches have come out against the decision. Both Mike Zimmer and Sean McDermott have been vocal against the inconsistencies, stating that it creates an ‘unfair advantage' for teams that can have fans in 2020.

The Broncos have already determined that no fans will be permitted when they face the Tennessee Titans at home on Monday Night Football in Week 1. While coach Vic Fangio would definitely prefer to have fans in seats, he isn't concerned one bit with the league's attendance policy.
