Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield seemed unfazed by claims that he stared down former head coach Hue Jackson during Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

After completing a long play to tight end David Njoku, it appeared as though Mayfield was staring at Jackson when he looked over the Bengals' sideline.

But when the rookie quarterback was asked about it after the game, he clearly wasn't sure what all the fuss was about.

From ESPN's Pat McManamon:

“No idea what you're talking about,” Mayfield said.

Serious?

“Yeah,” the rookie said.

Told the images were trending on social media and readily available, Mayfield said: “That's all right. We won. David didn't score on that play.”

Either way, what was noticeable was yet another great performance from Mayfield under center. He went 27 of 37 for 284 yards and three touchdowns, which helped the Browns improve to 7-7-1 on the season after struggling early on when Jackson was still at the helm.

Cleveland has now won seven games in a season for just the second time since the 2007 campaign, and obviously, Mayfield has played a huge role in that achievement.

But for Mayfield and company to mold themselves into a playoff contender year after year, the Browns will have to go out and make the right hire when it comes to finding a new head coach.

Before they get there, the Browns must prepare for the regular season finale against the Baltimore Ravens, who are looking to secure a postseason berth after an impressive 22-10 victory of the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 16.
