Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield did more than enough to help his team win against the Oakland Raiders, but also made key mistakes down the stretch that proved costly and he took the blame for the loss. The Browns led 42-34 with over a minute left in the game, but the team still lost.

Mayfield threw two interceptions and also lost two fumbles and those all proved costly and Mayfield says as the leader of the team, that's on him.

“I'm the quarterback of this team,” Mayfield said via ESPN. “It's on me.”

One of the key plays of the game was late in the 4th quarter when Carlos Hyde picked up a first down that should have sealed the game for the Browns. The play went to a review and was overturned, although many believed there wasn't clear evidence to make that call. Mayfield seemed perplexed by the call after the game, but said when you put it in the referee's hands, sometimes things like that happen.

“It had to be a heck of a review to turn that over on third down and short,” Mayfield said. “But any time you put it in somebody else's hands, it's not always gonna turn out your way.”

Even with the mistakes, Mayfield looks to be the best option for the Browns to win games. Against the Raiders he threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns and if he can clean up the turnovers he still has a chance to lead the Browns to a very nice season.
