It's all about the mindset for Cleveland Browns quarterback Brock Osweiler. The 26-year-old will enter the 2017 NFL season on the heels of a bad year with the Houston Texans that he'd rather forget.

After sort of swindling the Texans, who signed him to a four-year, $72-million contract in 2016, Osweiler quickly became a poster child of buyer's remorse in the NFL by proceeding to put together a poor season.

That year, Osweiler went 8-6 as a starter, passed for a career-high 2,957 yards to go with 15 touchdowns against 16 interceptions. The Texans limped into the playoffs, beating the Oakland Raiders, who were without Derek Carr, in the wild card before getting blown to bits in the divisional round by the New England Patriots, no thanks to the three picks Osweiler threw in that game.

After being exiled by the Texans to the Cleveland Browns along with a 2018 second-round pick via a trade last March, Osweiler is now looking to use the negatives that have happened to him of late as motivation to rebound as told by Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

I got a good dosage of (adversity) last season, no doubt — no doubt. It makes you stronger.

Osweiler is projected to be the Browns' starter come Week 1 of the regular season but a strong performance from the other Browns quarterbacks this season in the preseason like the one DeShone Kizer had Cleveland's win over the New Orleans Saints last Thursday suggests that Osweiler can't afford to relax. The Browns are set to pay Osweiler $16 million this year.
