It has been a very unceremonious 2021 NFL season for both the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Browns (7-8) have already been eliminated from playoff contention after preseason Super Bowl hopes and the Steelers (7-7-1) have just a four percent chance to make the playoffs after similar lofty preseason projections. The tragic ending to the Browns and Steelers seasons comes with a bittersweet moment for Steelers fans as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will most likely be making his final appearance at home as a Steeler on Monday night.

Browns superstar pass-rusher Myles Garrett is so happy about Ben's retirement that he wants to get Roethlisberger's retirement party celebration started a little early. Even though the Steelers still have one game left after tonight, on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, Garrett knows that this game will be more of a remembrance of the future Hall-of-Famer and less of an actual football game, and had this to say to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

With both teams having practically been eliminated from playoff contention, and the Steelers wanting to send Roethlisberger out with a winning record, Garrett is just injecting a little fun into a rivalry that has not been friendly recently.

In Roethlisberger's 18 seasons as quarterback of the Steelers, they have had a losing record only once–in 2006–and have not had a losing season at all since Mike Tomlin took over as head coach in 2007.  Pittsburgh is dangerously close to adding Tomlin's first losing season and Roethlisberger's second losing season into the Steelers history books. One win over their last two games, however, would end all of those negative thoughts and send “Big Ben” into retirement on a high note, regardless of what happens next week against the Ravens.
