The Cleveland Browns took a heartbreaking loss on Monday night. They lost on a last-second field goal by Daniel Carlson of the Las Vegas Raiders, 16-14. The loss dropped them to 7-7 and fighting for their playoff lives. The game was initially postponed because of the amount of players the Browns had on the COVID-19 reserve list. It was miraculous they even had a chance to win that game.

On Thursday, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski spoke to the media to address that.

Stefanski confirmed that the plan is for Baker Mayfield to return for Saturday's game. Mayfield is yet to practice because he is still on the COVID-19 reserve list. He also clarified that anyone who tested positive on December 15th or earlier will be available to play in Week 16.

That also includes wide receiver Jarvis Landry, Pro Bowl offensive tackle Jedrick Wills and defensive tackle Malik McDowell.

That is a big boost to the Browns ahead of their pivotal matchup against the Green Bay Packers Saturday. They are dealing with a short week, having played Monday night. They have to travel to Lambeau Field to face a team trying to claim the overall #1 seed in the NFC. It will difficult regardless of which players they get back.

But the expected return of their quarterback, best wide receiver, among a handful of others players should help their chances. Cleveland is one game behind both Baltimore and Cincinnati in the AFC North, with the Pittsburgh Steelers in between them via a tie.
