LSU cornerback Greedy Williams was considered one of the best cover corners in the NFL Draft, but largely due to his poor tackling ability, he fell to the second round, where the Cleveland Browns grabbed him at No. 46.

However, Williams does not think he is a bad tackler, saying that he simply was not able to show how good he was in that area in college:

“What's missing is if you studied the game film, I was mostly a man corner,” Williams told NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala. “At LSU I did my job. Tackling wasn't a big thing they wanted me to do. They wanted me to cover. I wasn't able to showcase my tackling ability. Now that I'm here, I can work zone, man, anything. So I'm able to prove that I'm a great tackler.”

One thing is for sure: Williams is certainly a big cornerback, as he stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 185 pounds, so maybe he will end up being a decent tackler on the NFL level?

But, he probably needs to tone down his personality a bit, as he predicted a Browns Super Bowl upon being drafted. It seems that general manager John Dorsey has already had a talk with him about that:

“John Dorsey, he kind of told me less talk, more work,” Williams said. “I took that big. I was just telling him, that's how I was feeling that day, just knowing what we got.”

Williams is coming off of a sophomore campaign in which he registered 33 tackles, a couple of interceptions and nine passes defended.
