You wouldn't think of an NFL kicker as guy who has attitude, but Cleveland Browns rookie Austin Seibert breaks that mold.

Seibert, whom the Browns selected in the fifth round (170th pick overall) of the NFL Draft last weekend, played his collegiate football at the University of Oklahoma and was a teammate of Baker Mayfield's for three years. So, he learned a thing or two from Mayfield about playing with an edge.

“I got a lot of that moxie and competitiveness from Baker, just being around him, because we were together for three years at Oklahoma,” Seibert said, according to Dan Labbe of The Cleveland Plain Dealer. “Learning how he carries himself on the field, I want to do that, too. I want my teammates to believe in me.”

Now, he'll get to play with Mayfield again on the NFL level.

Mayfield was drafted by the Browns last spring, so Seibert had to play his senior campaign at Oklahoma without him, but the kicker says that Mayfield still had a fan club in the Sooners locker room.

“He had a big support staff in our locker room and we always watched the Browns game,” Seibert said. “They’ve still got them on the TVs in there. They’ll replay them throughout the week. As soon as he started in that starting role, we would watch them in the locker room.”

Browns scout Josh Cox loves Seibert, saying he is extremely competitive.

“He is very, very competitive,” said Cox. “It is a young career for me, but I haven’t seen a kicker as competitive as he is.”

So, Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry, Kareem Hunt, Greedy Williams, and a hyper-competitive kicker? The Browns have become must-watch TV, and that is something we never thought we would say.
