Odell Beckham Jr. is going into training camp with a team other than the New York Giants for the first time in his NFL career, as he is heading into 2019 as a member of the Cleveland Browns.

Due to the addition of Beckham as well as players like Kareem Hunt, Olivier Vernon and Sheldon Richardson, there is palpable hype surrounding the Browns, and Beckham is thrilled to be a part of it:

“Expectations are just expectations, but I’m excited to be part of the excitement,” Beckham said, according to Matthew Florjancic of WKYC. “I’ve watched from afar the struggles, where they didn’t win a game the one year, won one game and went to 7-9. It’s just been on the come-up. It’s just that time and I just want to be able to give absolutely everything I have and see where we land with that.”

Beckham was traded to the Browns back in March, giving Cleveland a dynamic wide receiver tandem of Beckham and Jarvis Landry, both of whom played collegiate football together at LSU.

The 26-year-old is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he hauled in 77 receptions for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns, missing the final four games of the year due to a quad injury.

Beckham entered the league as a first-round draft pick of the Giants in 2014 and went on to make the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons, but injuries have limited him to just 16 games combined over the last two years.

The Browns went 7-8-1 this past season.
