Defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, who was just signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. is going from a rebuilding team in the Chicago Bears to one contending for a Super Bowl. However, that's not the only difference Hicks sees with the Buccaneers. The Pro Bowler took a shot at the Bears with a comment, invoking Tom Brady and former New Orleans saints star Drew Brees in the process. Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times has the details.

Hicks said that he enjoyed having Brees and Brady as his quarterbacks during his first two seasons in the NFL. He bluntly added that, “then he went to Chicago” to play for the Bears. Ouch.

Hicks, who played for the Bears from 2016 until last seasons, played with the likes of Jay Cutler, Mitchell Trubisky and Justin Fields. No parades were being thrown for any of those signal-callers.

Hicks definitely has a point, though he didn't have to do the Bears dirty with that remark. Fortunately for him, he will now be reunited with Brady in 2022, as the veteran star decided to return for another year of football with the Buccaneers.

Now, the former Bears star will enjoy the privilege of having an All-Pro quarterback on the other end once again. And Chicago, well, won't have a Brady or Brees under center. Nor will they have Hicks on their defensive line.

To be fair, though, the future is at least bright for the Bears.
