Antonio Brown's time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ended rather ugly, but despite that, head coach Bruce Arians has no regrets signing the veteran wide receiver last season.

When asked on Monday about the decision to pick up Brown despite his history with off-field antics and controversies, Arians defended the move.

“No, I have no regrets. I just hope the best for him,” Arians shared, per CBS Sports.

To recall, the Buccaneers signed Antonio Brown last October 2020 after the insistence of superstar quarterback Tom Brady. Bruce Arians and several members of the organization were initially against the move, but they were convinced by Brady to give the troubled wideout a chance.

AB was beneficial for the Buccaneers in their Super Bowl run, scoring one touchdown on five receptions during the Super Bowl LIV. However, as everyone knows, the glory days didn't last long with Brown after he was involved in a number of issues this 2021–from his fake COVID-19 vaccination to his walkout in Week 17 against the New York Jets.

Obviously, Arians and the Buccaneers had enough and had to part ways with him.

Arians also refused to elaborate on Brown's controversial exit last Sunday, but he did wish for AB to get some help if he needs it amid concerns about his mental health.

“Yeah, it was very hard,” Arians said on watching Brown leave during Week 17. “I wish him well. I hope if he needs help, [that he] gets some. It's very hard because I do care about him.”

The Buccaneers have yet to officially waive Brown, so it is still unknown what the future holds for him.
