The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are slated for a potential shootout with the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4. Unfortunately, they may be shorthanded on offense without the presence of wide receiver Chris Godwin.

Godwin missed practice all week before finally getting some activity in on Friday. According to Greg Auman of The Athletic, he remains a game-time decision.

As expected, Arians says LB Devin White and CB Jamel Dean are out again Sunday vs. Rams. Encouraged by what he saw today from WR Chris Godwin and C Ryan Jensen, but officially they'll be a game-day decision on Sunday.

Godwin's lack of participation in practice was one of the more unpleasant surprises of the week. He has established himself as a solid complementary option to wide receiver Mike Evans early on. His potential absence would leave the Bucs without some much-needed firepower against the Rams.

Godwin is coming off a down game against the New York Giants after hauling in just three receptions for 40 yards. It was hardly the kind of output one would expect in such a high-powered game, however, his modest production can be attributed to the monster day by Evans. Fortunately, he has shown to be capable of enjoying big days like he did in Week 2 with eight receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown against the Carolina Panthers.

The defense in Los Angeles has proven to be quite stingy against the pass this season thanks to the weapons they have up front and in the secondary. If Godwin is unable to play, this will leave the receiving corps rather shorthanded for quarterback Jameis Winston.
