Tom Brady, seven-time Super Bowl champion. Also, an evil soothsayer? If you're reading this and you're Patrick Mahomes, hold on tight.

Brady led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Super Bowl LV title on Sunday, completely destroying the Kansas City Chiefs, 31-9. The 43-year-old—not a typo—Brady earned yet another ring while also denying Mahomes back-to-back crowns. The legendary QB was at it again, delivering three touchdowns in the first half to set the tone and the Buccaneers never looked back for their second Super Bowl trophy.

But while Brady was incredible, were mystical powers also in play? That was the question posed by NESN's Doug Kyed in his story as he recalled the interview the two superstar signal-callers had for the NFL prior to Super Bowl LV, where Brady praised Mahomes' craftiness in the pocket.

“I love how he drifts back in the pocket, takes it about 6 yards deep then drops back to about 19, 20, pry 15 yards, right foot in the ground and then flicks that ball 60 yards down the field on a dime to Tyreek (Hill) or something like that.”

But of course, the exact opposite happened on Sunday as the Chiefs' main man struggled all game against the blitzing defense of the Buccaneers.

So did Brady consciously jinx Mahomes?

Another question: Was that a genuine laugh from Mahomes or one of those nervous ones?

Brady clearly outplayed the 25-year-old Mahomes, who many believe could surpass the five-time Super Bowl MVP as the GOAT of the NFL.

While Patrick Mahomes didn't offer any excuses for their embarrassing loss in Super Bowl LV, maybe he could try a reverse jinx on Tom Brady next season.
