Prior to Sunday night, Ryan Jensen was one of the most coveted free agents on the market. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers center was crucial to protecting Tom Brady prior to his retirement. With the GOAT out of Tampa, teams that needed offensive line help were looking to go for him.

However, with Tom Brady announcing his return from retirement, Ryan Jensen immediately made his decision known. The star center has reportedly signed a three-year deal to stay with the Buccaneers, committing to protect Brady in the next season and perhaps beyond. (via Ari Meirov)

Jensen's excellent pass protection is one of the biggest reasons why Brady succeeded with the Buccaneers. He, along with the rest of the offensive line, allowed the quarterback to go through his reads in relative peace and make the right call every time. With Ali Marpet not coming back for next season, the Bucs badly needed Jensen to stay.

With Jensen now locked up for the foreseeable future, all eyes will be on the Buccaneers' other free agents. Tight end Rob Gronkowski, running backs Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones, and defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh are all set to enter free agency. If the Bucs want to contend next season, it would help to keep these guys on the team.

For now, though, Tampa fans are rejoicing at the fact that Brady has decided to return. The Buccaneers will remain contenders for this season at least … maybe even more depending on how the GOAT feels.
