Early on Thursday night during the 28-22 win for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the Philadelphia Eagles, cornerback Richard Sherman limped off the field with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, he is expected to miss a little bit of time for the Buccaneers.

The Buccaneers would go on to limit the Eagles passing game nonetheless in a major way. Per ESPN, Shaq Barrett talked about the affect of Sherman leaving the game.

“That was most definitely a hard hit for us,” outside linebacker Shaq Barrett said of Sherman's injury. “It put us in a tougher situation, but we have a lot of guys who were ready to step up. They came and did their thing and held it down, but we most definitely missed the presence of every guy who's hurting, injured and hasn't been able to play. We miss those guys for sure.”

Tampa Bay has been riddled with injuries in the secondary all year long. The Buccaneers have already been playing without Sean Murphy-Bunting and Carlton Davis, both of whom are on injured reserve. Sherman was supposed to provide relief at the position but now finds himself injured.

Despite the injuries, the Buccaneers were still able to pull out the win to move to 5-1 on the season. Tampa Bay will have extra time off after playing on Thursday night before they welcome in the Chicago Bears next week in Week 7.
