The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting back Richard Sherman from injury in time for their Week 14 showdown with the Buffalo Bills. However, that doesn't mean he will play.

Sherman had been in the injured reserve since injuring his calf prior to their Week 10 game against the Washington Football Team. He was also absent for the team during their Week 7 and 8 contests due to a hamstring strain, but it was not until his calf issue that the team put him on the IR list.

The veteran cornerback cleared the last hurdle for his return on Friday, but according to Ricky Stroud of Tampa Bay Times, the Buccaneers are hoping they won't need him for their meeting with the Bills.

Tom Brady and his Buccaneers are on a three-game winning streak, and at 9-3, they are well in contention for the top spot in the NFC. Currently, the Arizona Cardinals lead the conference and the whole NFL with a 10-2 record.

However, head coach Bruce Arians know they can't be too complacent against a Bills team that is also contending for a playoff spot. At 7-5, Buffalo poses a threat in the Bucs' attempt to win four straight and stay within striking distance of the Cards.

Of course Richard Sherman's presence will definitely help, but the Buccaneers are probably hoping they can give him more rest as the postseason nears.
