For now, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady remains hungry to win and compete at the highest level of football. But at age 44 and having already retired–albeit briefly–he knows his time is coming to an end soon.

Brady revealed as much in his recent appearance on the Dan Patrick Show, noting that he doesn't have a lot of time left to compete in the NFL.

“I had the appetite to compete, and it's going to be gone soon,” Brady said, per Sporting News. “I mean, there's no doubt about it. I've got to just really appreciate the time I have left, because it's not a lot.”

Tom Brady retired from the NFL in February, but that came to an end after just 40 days when he decided to return to the Buccaneers. While there were all sorts of rumors on the reason about his return, there was one thing clear: he still loves to compete and train everyday.

When he returned, Brady did highlight that his goal is to wrap up some unfinished business from last season and win the Super Bowl once again.

It remains to be seen if Brady can achieve the high goals he has set for himself in 2022, but since we're talking about arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, there is no doubt he will do his best and exhaust every drop of that competitive juice he has in him.
