Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady hasn't forgotten about where he was selected in the 2000 NFL Draft. 20 years ago today, April 16th 2000, Brady was selected in the sixth round out of Michigan by the New England Patriots.

An image was created that Brady shared on his Instagram Story, depiciting the six quarterbacks that were drafted ahead of him.

The six quarterbacks selected before Brady Chad Pennington, Giovanni Carmazzi, Chris Redman, Tee Martin, Marc Bulger, and Spergon Wynn. Brady has said before he still remembers all the quarterbacks that were selected before him.

Mel Kiper Jr. also released his draft report of Brady heading into the 2000 draft, and said he thought Brady was a fifth-round quarterback. In the report, Kiper said Brady might not have the total package, but he was most impressive in the biggest games.

“Sure, he doesn't have the total package of skills, but you have to be impressed with his level of performance this past season against Notre Dame (17-of-24), Wisconsin (17-of-27), Michigan State (30-of-41), Ohio State (17-of-27), and Alabama (34-of-46 for 369 yards and 4 TDs).”

This seems about right for what Brady has done during his career. He has proven to have the total package of skills, but there have been other quarterbacks who have been more athletic and might have a stronger arm. During the biggest games, it's when Brady seems to have had the most success.

There has been a lot of great sixth-round draft picks before, but there is no doubt Tom Brady is the greatest draft pick in New England Patriots history.
