The relationship between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick has recently been put under a microscope. This comes after a news report revealed that the New England Patriots coach refused to meet Brady in person following the latter's decision to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. Brady has finally broken his silence about the much talked about issue, and it looks like he too is doing his best bit to kill the feud narrative.

Earlier in the week, Belichick denied the accusations. The 69-year-old did not provide any details and simply said that the allegations were simply untrue. For his part, Brady is also taking a similar stance:

“All those things are super personal,” Brady said in a press conference, via Josh Alper of NBC Sports. “We had a great relationship. I think everything was handled the right way. We handled everything as gracefully as we could. It was an amazing time and it was handled perfectly. I think everyone understood where we were at, the people involved in the situation, and things worked out for the best for all of us.”

To be fair, Tom Brady did not explicitly say that Belichick met with him in person upon his departure, which technically speaking, could mean that they never had a face-to-face farewell. Nevertheless, what is clear from Brady's comments above is that in his mind, he has no ill will against Bill Belichick. I think?

Brady will be facing off against his former coach on Sunday night when his Buccaneers take on Belichick's Patriots. This recent narrative between Tom and Bill only makes that highly-anticipated matchup more interesting.
