Tom Brady, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ superstar quarterback and master recruiter is doing what he does best, less than a week after announcing his decision to come out of retirement. With Brady’s sights set on another Super Bowl, he’s hard at work trying to lure more talent to Tampa Bay to assist in the team’s push for a championship. According to Dov Kleiman, Brady has begun pitching Julio Jones on a potential move to Tampa after the wideout was released by the Titans on Wednesday.

The Titans cut ties with Jones after just one season on Wednesday. It was a rough season for Jones, who caught just one touchdown pass and missed eight games due to injury.

He’ll be looking to bounce back with a big prove-it year in 2022, and what better place to do that than with the championship contenders and greatest-ever NFL quarterback? Having Brady throwing dimes to Jones would be a lethal combination, and the 33-year-old wouldn’t even need to be facing off against defenses’ best cornerbacks, considering he’d line up opposite the likes of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

Brady sees the upside in a potential move like this, and he’s hoping to convince Jones to join the Buccaneers’ ranks and win a ring together. It must be difficult for any wide receiver to turn down a recruiting pitch from Brady, whose leadership and commitment to winning are characteristics most players dream of having in their quarterback.

With Jones’ future unclear, expect him to be in contact with Brady frequently while he mulls his next move.
